Grunty the Murloc Marine arrives for DirecTV viewers
Memories of BlizzCon have started to fade over the last month, but today another reminder of the event pops up. If you watched it via DirectTV you should shortly be receiving an email letting you know that soon you too can have a Murloc Marine shadowing your character's every step. The email comes with a code and a URL to visit in order to redeem the little guy. Be careful of any phishing scams, the correct URL is http://www.blizzcon.com/pet. You must also have a Battle.net account in order to receive him.
Once you have entered you code and gone through the simple redemption process the next time you log on you will have an in-game mail from Master Handler Sylvester. This will contain your special delivery of a Heavy Murloc Egg and a thank you.
Grunty the Murloc Marine, we salute you. When it comes to murlocs, you are the best of the best of the best. Sir! With Honors.

Don't forget to check your spam folder.

Yeah, nothing there yet either.
Would somebody tell me the address (or at least the domain) that it comes from so I can whitelist the address?
Wartra Sep 24th 2009 2:20PM
My email came from BlizzCon
Hope that helps you get your little buddy. I'd hate for your eggs to get lost in the mail. Rotten murloc eggs FTL

Finally something for my Zergling to kill.
Finding another Grunty owner since blizzcon has been a pain and a half, now I can just run around the brewfest grounds and find half a dozen!

Can't wait to get home and have my Grunty take down some zerglings when he sees them! :)

Question: All of you who have received it, did you order the internet stream or the DirecTV pay-per-view? I got the DirecTV coverage and have not received an email yet, so I'm wondering if the DirecTV portion has yet to go out.
Aaron Sep 24th 2009 1:12PM
I ordered the internet stream and got mine today. Hope that helps.

hopefully i'll get the email soon :)
Sig Sep 24th 2009 12:56PM

chavis878 Sep 24th 2009 1:02PM

Priestess Sep 24th 2009 1:00PM
I also got the actual Pay Per View through directv and haven't gotten an email yet. I'm assuming that these process is going to take a few hours so for those that haven't gotten an email yet don't fret.
but of course I will be sitting here freaking out until it gets here anyway.
me want grunty!

From reading MMO Champions, it seems the mail is from RayV, the Internet Stream provider and not Blizzard or DTV. So this is only for the Stream viewers.
The FAQ about the pet on the Official forums says the PPV viewers will recieve the code card via snailmail and the internet viewers will get the email code. So us DirecTV people get to wait some more.
Dalaran Sep 24th 2009 1:28PM
Are you sure the DirecTV people are getting their codes today? I know the PPV Internet Stream is but I haven't heard from anyone who bought the DTV version who has gotten a code, yet.
Almoderate Sep 24th 2009 1:32PM
I also ordered the DTV PPV and haven't gotten any email. It would appear that it's just the folks who ordered the online stream who got their pet.

I just managed to redeem mine in Europe.
Note that clicking on the link in the e-mail sends you to http://US.battle.net/... (which I, of course, couldn't log in to). Changing that link to http://EU.battle.net/... (just change US into EU, and leave everything else as it is) worked fine, I could log in right away and apply my code.
And after that, it works just as described.
*hugs his Murloc marine in-game* .. *gets shot*
